Turner's Bend

It is my favorite place to stop and take photos on the long drive home. A chance to get out and stretch my legs and shoot for fun.

SEC Outdoor Track Champions

It is always great to share in a Conference Championship with a great bunch of kids. Arkansas won it's 93 Conference Championship at the Univ of Florida and it came down to the last few races to decide who would win. Our guys stepped up big time. In seven years of shooting for the Razorbacks I have met a few of athletes that mean more to me because of not only what they accomplish on the playing field/track but because of who they are as people. Nkosinza Balumbu and Scott MacPherson are two of these athletes. They are great students, great athletes and great pros. They do whatever is asked of them on the field and off. I would name their accomplishments but it would take up to much space. It is one of my favorite photos and my honor to be in a photo with them.

Silhouettes

I have always been a lover of silhouettes. These are a few slides that I just had scanned. More to come.

Arkansas Women's Tennis Team

I was working on the images and decided to go with Black and White. It seemed to add a certain drama to the images. These ladies are the best team I have ever been around. I have enjoyed watching them play and hanging out with them. GO HOGS!

OUTDOORS

A quote by Doug Peacock out of Outside Magazine. I think this is great: "Don't just bang down the trail thinking about your girlfriend or your stock portfolio. Go like another animal. All of a sudden you're part of an ancient system again: You stop, listen more often, scent the wind. And after four or five days, something happens. You're part of the original landscape, a far older, more faded world. If you're comfortable with yourself, go solo. Solitude is the deepest well I know, and it's your right to drink from it. Forget all the risk-free literature you read from the BLM or the Park Service or anybody else that's covering their ass legally. And no GPS devices; the opportunity to get lost on today's planet is a privilege."
